Street Angel Canvas

Hi there I am here to share a mixed media canvas I made of my eldest daughter. We went out on a little photo shoot and i snapped this great shot of her. She looked so beautiful I knew I wanted to make something special with this photo and this is what I came up with.

I simply love how this canvas turned out with its pastel colours and a touch or grunge

Materials used: Prima Firefly paper, brick mask, resin and junkyard findings, Twiddleybitz chippy cogs and grunge letters, Stampendous silver glitter embossing powder, Kaisercraft blooms, AC thickers, texture paste, white gesso and tissue paper.

until next time happy scrappin

Dream Layout

My first attempt at a mixed media layout.

I have used an old cardboard box as the background of this layout and have added gesso to soften the bright colours of this beautiful paper collection by Kaisercraft.

This was a fun layout to create and I really liked using mixed media in it, I think there will be more of it in my future layouts :-D

Other materials used: Prima flowers, resins, siic and junkyard findings, Kaisercraft blooms and collectibles, seam binding ribbon and Twiddleybitz chippy letters.

Thanks for stopping by and until next time happy scrappin

Beautiful Bouquets

Good morning srcappy people,

I know this is not really scrap related but I thought I would share anyway.

I made these bouquets for my little sisters friend who got married this month. They were a little more detailed than the bouquets I have made in the past but they turned out beautifully.
There are 5 in total the Brides and 4 bridesmaids.

Beautiful Layout

Simply beautiful, I really wanted the photo of my youngest daughter on this layout to be the center of attention so I kept it quite simple.

I have been trying lots of new things in my scrapping lately and it has been lots of fun. This is the first time I have pulled my sewing machine out in a long time but i had never really thought about stitching on a layout before either... love the effect it gives.

Until next time happy scrappin

You & Me - Wedding Printers Tray

Good Morning scrappy people, I hope this week has been treating you well.

I am here to share this Twiddleybitz round printers tray designed for The Scrap Cottage

I have used the Webster's Pages In Love Collection, Prima Almanac Charme roses & Summer carnation vine, Tim Holtz Corked vials, Twiddleybitz mini multi butterfly pack, ornate flourish, black gesso, Distress ink and crackle accents.
These papers are so beautiful they were just perfect for this photo of my Hubby and I on our wedding day. I really love the simplicity with a hint of glamour of this project.
Using crackle accents I created what I called shattered china roses by adding crackle accents to the paper roses and then spreading it evenly  with a fine paint brush and the allowing it to dry.

Have been a bit slack

Hi there, so I have been a bit slack when it comes to adding my photos to my blog but I thought I would start with something new

Here is a layout I have done for The Scrap Cottage, I used the very beautiful Prima Fairy Belle collection as well as a touch of Twiddley goodness. This collection is so very easy to work with and as I am not much of a layout person that was good for me.

She Loves You

Detail 2 - a close up of one of the many shattered china roses I created for this layout
(I will be adding a tutorial over the next week on how I made these stunning little vintage roses)
Here is a list of the materials used

Welcome

Hi there Scrappy people,
I would like to start by saying Welcome to my blog, I thought it was high time I got involved in this whole blogging thing

Here is a layout I created recently of my beautiful little sister on the day of her year 12 formal. She doesn't often wear a dress but she pulled this one off fantastically and looked totally amazing.
I wanted to create something feminine but grungy to show who she is.

Materials used: Kaisercraft papers, blooms and ribbon, Websters Pages story teller stickers and Green Tara crystal sprays.
